Prioritize our interests for our monthly meeting at the Summit Co-Akron Library:
Our monthly meetings revolve around topics based on our available speakers.
We try to develop our expertise both as a group and can also capitalize on our in-group experts.
Some of the content from our speakers has been summarized and posted on this webpage.
Thus, we capture our collective thoughts.
Our group has been active (using an open source style) since August 2003.
Our group draws people from all walks of life and on all levels of the learning curve.
As a representative sample - see some interests listed below:
One result of the above process is to create a self-organizing 'collective genius' composed of ordinary folks solving problems at new & higher levels. Another result is that (at each meeting) each person becomes an 'informed speaker' simply by reporting what they learned during the past month. Thus, we educate, focus and motivate each other and ourselves - into roles of expertise.
In summary, by using and expanding our internal expertise, we reduce the need for outside experts (speakers) at our meetings. Our agenda gets determined by interests of our members and our members who have expertise.
